A few more from the other day
I just wanted to share a couple more from the other day. Apologizes to "J", like I said, he only let me take ONE of him the whole time and I have already posted it. Don't these two look so much alike? Look at both of them with their mouths open...I love these kids deeply (including "J") and can't imagine life without them.

Needed to pick up the camera
It feels like it has been a while since I have picked up my camera (probably 2 days) so I took the kids out for a minute tonight.

White Balance Test
The assignment: take pictures in different settings using all different white balance options.
The most accurate WB setting for an inside shot looks to be "incandecent". That being said, it is really cool. What do I do about that?
Try #2 (I tried to get a more perfect exposure here and the results to me indicate that Auto wb is the best option)
Here are the results (I only included the top 3-4 choices, the others were awful).
FULL SUN the white balance setting that is most accurate is the "Sunny" setting.
The best WB setting for SHADE is either 5000K (I don't even know what that means) or Auto. It is definitely NOT the shade preset. This was completely in the shade. I am a little suprised by the results. What do you think?

The weather was finally cloudy (not that I really wanted it to be, but I did want to finish this assignment). I think the best is 5000 K or Auto, but definitely NOT the Cloudy WB.

To summarize here are the settings I will shoot most and the WB setting I should use.
Full Sun = Sunny white balance
Shade = 5000K
Cloudy = hummm not sure Auto WB looks a bit cool and 5000K looks a bit warm but I think it is one of these
Inside = Auto
The "C" family
I think there were a lot of nice ideas in this shoot but not all of them turned out quite how I wanted. On the other hand, I finally got great focus on a few of the shots and was thrilled with that. I love taking pictures. I hope I can get it "right" someday. :)

Full Moon
I really wanted to take a picture of the Owyhee Mountains with the full moon but I was about 15 mintues too late (too much going on today).
20 minute walk
Here are a few pictures of a 20-minute walk around the neighborhood. (not as much excitement as I expected)
Expecting #2
I did a shoot today with "B". I think she looks radiant pregnant with #2. She was very patient with me! I wasn't very good at getting #1 to smile for me but I think this one is precious. Oh and keep in mind that I had two of my own kids (2 & 1 years old) at my side.
