Blessing Dress; Shoot #3

This is the third time I have photographed this baby. You might recognize her by now. Isn't she cute. The purpose of this shoot was to capture her in her blessing dress. I hope we got a few for posterity. :)

4 months

It is sad how quickly time is passing. She is already 4 months old. I had a couple minutes before another session and so I put her down to capture a few shots of her. I am hoping for some more this week...we'll see if I can get to it.

Pettiskirts

I have loved pettiskirts since I got my camera almost 2 years ago. They are expensive though ($90). I thought about making one but have always felt overwhelmed by the process. Anyway...with the encouragement of neighbors I ordered fabric (got friends to order too so shipping was free). I haven't sewn one for my little girls yet but I hope to do it this week sometime. The other friends that ordered are a little faster at this than I am. Here are two of them completely sewn and adorable! I hope mine turn out as cute as these did.

Is there anything cuter?

Look at this adorable baby. After sessions like this I can't wait to get home and look at the results. Love it! This is her blessing dress; it is unbelievably gorgeous. You may remember these girls from this session.

Two adorable little boys that LOVE tractors

I grew up in what most would call "the middle of no where" and on a farm. Because of that (I know some of you may think I am crazy), I get a little envious of families that are raising their kids in similar circumstances. The father of these adorable children is a farmer and their mom is amazingly talented. She is so crafty and artistic. It was fun to spend the morning with them.

Kind of a vintage look.

And perhaps one of my favorite non-people photos to date...Remeber they are dairy farmers. These are the boots that they actually wear and truly represent them.

When it's cold outside

Sometimes it is easier to practice photography inside, although it often presents all kinds of lighting issues. I haven't taken shots of my own kids in a while. I hope to get to that in the coming week. In the meantime, here are two of Lexi who is always begging for me to take her picture.

I love taking pictures...

...even when it is really cold outside. This is a photographer friend. She did a great job taking some family photos of us a few months ago and now it was my turn to shoot some of her family. Aren't they cute?!!

Trying to beat the light

This is another session where I was racing against time & light. Thank goodness almost every time I took a picture they were all looking and smiling! This is a dear friend of mine from childhood. Among other things, we used to meet on our bikes "down the road" and play. Oh, what good memories....

My brother's family

I also got to take a few pictures of my brother's family. Aren't they beautiful. It is tricky to get all four kids looking at the camera at once, but I think we did it!

And this one is fun...the horse was very intersted in what was going on.
